The title came to me as I was walking my dog, Koda past one of my favorite bars - Delilah's. It made me sad to see it closed and shuttered, and upon arriving home, I wrote this song.
lyrics
Here comes another morning, where I don't heed the warning signs, but I'm safe and sound
I just wait until the evening, make my designs on leaving, until I can't be found
You can't mend a broken heart, if you have no place to start, and you're pulled apart
And there'll be no holiday, if you are alone and locked away, with no place to play, day after day
That's neither here nor there, we're cracked beyond repair, does anyone have a clue?
Another place we gathered, as if it never mattered, is gone and out the blue
You can't mend a broken heart, if you have no place to start, and you're pulled apart
And there'll be no holiday, if your alone and locked away, with nothing to do, come on baby blue
There's another empty sign, there's no-one left in line, they've all gone home again
Here comes another, nothing doing, selfish ruining, open tuning, helpless crooning, nothing-doing day
Here comes another morning, where I don't heed the warning sign, I'm safe and sound
